Annus horribilis, as it has always been
Just realised that it's been almost a year since I wrote here. Extreme reluctance to work lets you think you are creative!

Shopping Malls
Another weekend in the offing. Will I get sucked into the consumerist orgy that I have to pass by in this wretched Madna of a place?
Or, would I jerk off at the sidelines, as always, and walk out guiltily?

DIY tsunami
The imagery that is repeatedly fading-in into my mind is the 'tidal wave' scene in Guns of Navarone.
It is colossal and is seen at a distance, not noisy or scary in a conventional sense but it is moving in purposefully, with a majestic rumble...
The poor sods in its line can only guess what kind of destruction it can wreak.
sod'sa?

Late Friday night
Is this how one feels when being led to the gallows?, one who knows he is guilty and that he deserves to die. The guy must be feeling the kind of blank calmness I feel now.
I have my deadline on the 31st and I am not even 10% into the project. (whoever said that a micro-managing boss is a pain? I badly need one). I promised my boss a portion of the work by Monday. I have given up hope on completing the work in time . I plan to put together over the weekend the scraps I managed to finish till now. Neck on the chopping block.

Just the Green Devil for company
Back to work after the three-day break for Diwali. Walked into the office at 4. The ‘hi’s from people were louder and the smiles wider than usual. The Diwali-induced bonhomie is still hanging in the air. People really seemed to have had a good time these four days and it shows on their faces. Post-coital bliss?
My activities for the three days included being-alone-doing-nothing, attending a self conscious dinner and some more being-alone-doing-nothing.
